Like everything else in 2020, Christmas For Kids took on a different look, but the smiles were as big as ever! We'd like to thank the generous folks who donated along with a huge group of volunteers who made this a special Christmas.
This was the 10th Annual Christmas For Kids. This year was actually four events over two days. We had to keep the numbers down due to COVID. Fifty kids and their families were preregistered for each time slot. All tables and the bounce house were sanitized each time a smiling crown left with their presents. Even the Face Painters from Radiant Art Events sanitized all brushes, sponges, paints and stencils in between face paintings.
The efforts of everyone involved went beyond the extra mile! Pastors Daniel & Allison Williamson were the hosts who made each person feel the love of Christ in a special way. Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted Joseph, Mary and Jesus after a delightful Angel announced the birth of our Savior. Santa and Mrs. Claus knelt in front of the baby Jesus.
Marvin Johnson, the Director of Compassion Ministries played the part of Santa with Teresa Sherwood acting as Mrs. Claus. Santa gave a beautiful Gospel presentation to let the crowd know the real reason for the birth of Christ. Jordan Harrell was a beautifully engaging Emcee! It was a beautiful day in the Christmashood!
