Being a slave to sin is like losing your identity to a lie. Pastor Ben Nobles from theWELLbuffalo taught the young men at BWAP about the truth of consequences for living with a lie.
When a consequence will happen is an unknown. The truth of a lie is that a consequence will eventually happen. The sooner you embrace truth, the sooner you will be freed from the bondage of a lie.
A nickname for Jesus would be "The Truth." Ben used a Bible verse from John 8:32, "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” The young men listened well.
Personal stories and transparency always open up a portal to the hearts of young men. Telling them the truth that we all make mistakes, but God forgives and loves all of us equally.
