Basketball is a game that reflects many skills needed to be successful in life. Elder Brian Lewis came with a "Back-up Plan of Success" for the young people at BWAP LXXV on Thursday night, November 3, 2016.
When Brian decided to turn his life over to God, some of the harsher realities that existed from bad decision making began to fade away.
A few of the young guys asked questions. "How old were you when you stopped partying?" His answer was "around 22 yrs. old." Guys are always looking for a measuring stick and a guide (or an excuse) to continue or stop at-risk behavior.
Plenty of guys are looking to change their lives now and the earlier the better. A changed life does not guarantee success. but a life changed by a belief in Christ will bring wisdom, discernment and understanding. Thanks. Brian, Jesus loves you and so do we.
Prior to Brian giving his Nine Minute Life Direction, Rev. Will Coplin spoke about the 2018 Missions Trip to the Caribbean. The guys will have to go through training in order to go. We also talked about The Bills Night Out that YWAP is cosponsoring with Athletes In Action. Buffalo Bills Players and their wives will visit West Hertel Academy on November 21, 2016 from 7-9pm.
