| Basketball is only an appetizer on Thursday nights at City Reach Buffalo. The young men love a good game, but they also like a good meal. When the ladies from Edison Street Community Church prepare a meal - they make sure it's nutritious for the whole heart, mind, body and soul! A good start to the BWAP night almost fell victim to angry words between players. Pastor Tommy McClam stood up and praised the 18-30 yr. old young men for facing conflict and finding a way to restore peace. We were very proud of the guys who acted almost like diplomats after a rough start. Plenty of wisdom came from two of the ladies who split time during the Nine Minute Life Direction. Both of them told stories about perseverance and overcoming obstacles on the way to becoming very successful in their professions and in the community. Thank you Jamillah Green and Ericka Bennett for sharing your hearts during our Nine Minute Life Direction. We also want to say thanks to the rest of the Edison Street ladies for their smiles, their hearts and beautiful hands that served an amazing meal.
