Being undefeated for any length of time is a very special accomplishment. The BWAP Streak of remaining undefeated has now stretched to thirty weeks. This week, the victory came at the hands (and hearts) of Teens In Progress.
When a youth organization proudly brings some of their young people to an event, that's a supremely special feeling. Paulette and Corey are the Founders and Directors of Teens In Progress. For many years, they have been helping young people become self sustaining and contributing members of society. They help young people to travel outside of Buffalo to expand their ability to develop vision beyond their lives in the city.
A defining moment in a young persons life happens when they are able to grasp some of the deeper meanings of life. One of the young ladies from TIP stood and read 1 Peter 5-10 from the Bible.
"5 Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.”
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. 10 And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you." Those are good words for young people - spoken by a young person.
Paulette and Corey have been shaping young people into successful adults and making Buffalo a better place. The world is a better place because of Teens In Progress. Corey finished the 9 Minute Life Direction by talking about mustard seeds. He told the young people that great things can happen if you have even just a little faith. Matthew 17:20 "He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”

- Every week has it's own uniqueness. Something new and different happens every week we get together. Something beyond our planning and imagination happens.
- This was the first time that a married couple came with an organization and spoke for 9 minutes. Two married people smiled - a lot and kept the conversation constructive and positive. That's a great testimony for your men to see.
