Our main goal of BWAP is tp help young guys between 18-30 yrs, old become role models for the next generation. To do that they will have to work on their own character. Last night, for the first time ever, a young man stepped up and delivered the 9MD, (9 Minute Direction -halftime message.) Chris is at the low end of the 18-30 yr. old age group and barely out of high school.. His 9MD was better than Wilt Chamberlain scoring 100 points. He was real, truthful, and you could feel his heart reaching out and touching the hearts of everybody in the room.
Chris began with a Bible verse about money from 1 Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." Chris explained the dangers of putting money before God. He was unemployed and offered the chance to make a quick $300 for doing something illegal. He prayed against the temptation and shortly thereafter he was presented with 2 opportunities to make some coin legally. He knew God answered his prayer. Chris gave credit Rev. Will Coplin for being diligent in pursuing him with a life-changing message. Right before our very eyes, we witnessed God's display of the vision that tarried until now.A new season has begun!
Wanda did another masterful job in the kitchen with help from Will and some other volunteers. Chris and his friend Matt were masterful on the basketball court as they formed relationships and even won a game or two! Tonight was special for another reason; there were more ladies visiting BWAP! Guys need to learn how to respect the ladies and experiential learning is a great teacher.
I'm grateful to God for being able to play and pray in Buffalo!
Thanks for your time. Go do something nice for somebody.
