We played ball, listened to a good word, ate a good meal, but something was missing.
Anytime a young man is killed, his potential dies but the success he achieved gives life to the dreams of others.
Please pray for the young people in Buffalo. We know that guys who live a Christ-like life do not kill people.
Mike Herrera was murdered this week. Sadly, his family learned about Crime Victim Assistance. He was a long time member of Youth With A Purpose - over half his life. We watched him grow through hard times and become a respected and responsible husband, father, son, brother, friend and employee. Bitterness that kills, steals or destroys is evil. Any act of bitterness will return upon the person's head who committed the act.
Your eye is a lamp for your whole body. If you can clearly see forgiveness, it will light up your whole body. If you see bitterness, your whole body will be filled with darkness. All of us have sinned in the eyes of God. That means all of us are equal and need both repentance and forgiveness.
Several generations of murdered fathers have family history in Buffalo. Someone in each family needs to have the confidence and courage in Christ to build their lives on a rock. The way of killing for revenge is building a future on sinking sand.
We want justice for Mike's death just as much as anybody. God says in the Bible that vengeance is His; let it be so. If you're the killer, please give yourself up - first to Christ and then to the Police. You can be forgiven and you are loved. If you don't change your life, you're pretty much guaranteed a bitter ending. Choose life, the alternative is a forever death. If you need our help, please call us. 716-830-8240.
Thanks for your time.
Go do something nice for somebody.
Jesus loves you and so do we.
