Being a politician with compassion means that you feel the distress of the people. Buffalo Mayoral Candidate Mark Schroeder spoke to the young men at BWAP about being in the lions den. He goes where the people are.
When people tell you that you aren't worth anything or you can't do something, it might cause you to put your dreams on pause. Some folks will throw your dreams to the lions. Don't pause your dreams for anybody!
A good phrase to live by, Mark told the young men, is "DON'T COUNT ME OUT!" He then repeated the words of Daniel; "My God sent his angel, and he shut the mouths of the lions."
Praying for politicians has become commonplace at BWAP. The young men laid their hands on Mark Schroeder and prayed. Their prayers added to the equation of success that says, "Don't count me out!" They prayed Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." The young men prayed for the strength of Mark and his staff.
