AN INCREDIBLE YOUTH PROGRAM AT THE BREAD OF LIFE IN BUFFALO, NY!

You can’t have an incredible youth program without an incredible group of adult leaders. Buffalo YWAP Director Becky Rogowski has assembled some folks with the biggest hearts in Buffalo!

We’re grateful to the volunteers and staff from the Bread of Life for going the extra mile for young people who represent 100% of the future. What makes a youth program incredible? It only happens when kids know that you care. The willingness to listen and demonstrating a desire to value what they have to say in a nonjudgmental way. Those are character attributes that young people respond to. Becky leads the way with an extremely open heart.

Open hearts are safe places for kids to find shelter. An incredible youth program provides safe emotional-shelters. That’s why they keep coming back. That’s why they bring their friends. Sure - there’s always good food, games and a solid Bible teaching, but those are only received after safe relationships are formed.

Thank you Becky and all the volunteers at the Bread of Life. Keep the Christ-fires burning! Jesus loves you and so do we.

GRILL & A PRAYER SPECIAL CHRISTMAS EDITION

A Grill & A Prayer has become a community favorite. Many folks look forward to the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month. This was special, so very special!
Santa came to spread cheer and pray. Special visitors like Coral Evans stopped to smile and spread good cheer. It was a special Christmas Edition on the Wednesday before Christmas. Folks came for grilled sandwiches, free gifts and prayer. We’re grateful for all the good folks at Church For The Nations Flagstaff and Compassion Ministries who make this event possible.
One man who is a Vietnam Veteran asked for prayer, his wife has cancer. When we asked her how we could pray for her, this is what she said:
“Please pray that I’m alive on January 22nd so I can celebrate with my husband on our 50th wedding anniversary.”
Some prayer requests bring you to tears. Most of us are talking about New Year’s resolutions and this woman wants to live a few more weeks. Thank you God for the opportunity to pray and be humbled in the process. Please answer that woman’s prayer. Amen.
Grill & A Prayer will start again on January 21 from 12-3 pm in front of the Market of Dreams 2136 E. 4th St. Flagstaff.
