Her Name is Migdalis and She's The 9 Minute Personal Trainer At YWAP

   Young people grow very quickly, physically, mentally. emotionally and spiritually.
   When someone talks about their personal story of life change, it can be powerful.
   As our Nine Minute Life Speaker, Migdalis Marie Mendez takes her role as a Personal Trainer to another level.
   Precious - yes far more precious than jewels is how God looks at her and the rest of the young people at YWAP.
YWAP's Teen Action Night happens on most Thursday's at The Bread of Life Church in South Buffalo. All guys and girls 12 - 18 yrs. old are invited. We open at 6 PM with some fun sports or craft activities. At 7 PM we switch gears for some food, more friendship, fun with some learning thrown in. We have dinner, have a Bible Leadership lesson and then listen to a Nine Minute Guest Speaker. Each week the speakers have been incredibly engaging with personal stories of overcoming adversities. YWAP Leaders At The Bread Go The Extra Mile For Young People!

   You can't ell what goes on in a church when you're not there.
When folks look at the cross this morning, they won't see the basketball hoop that was there yesterday.
A lot of folks spent Saturday staying warm indoors while others braved the cold with warm hearts of servanthood.
   Please say thank you to the YWAP Leadership Team for going the extra mile to help young people at The Bread of Life Center For Hope. They went to the church at 8:30 AM and left after 1 PM. They assembled basketball goals for summertime activities and then shared a meal.
The hoops were assembled in the shadow of the cross in the church sanctuary.
   That statement sums up our YWAP programs at Teen Action Night. We try and make every activity a teachable time that opens up God's purpose and potential in each young person. We are proud of the leadership and the young people who go the extra mile to enlarge God's Love in the neighborhood.
Thanks guys. Jesus loves you and so do we.

UB & Buff St. College Students Bring Warm Hearts To Brighten Up A City!

   You wouldn't expect college students to leave their warm dorms on a cold, gray Buffalo Day, but they did!
   When Mrs. Triggs from None Like You/We Care Outreach asks for volunteers, people smile and show up.
   After the students from UB & Buff St, arrived in the cold, their serving hands warmed up a neighborhood.
   Plenty of hard work was accomplished in several locations on Community Service Day.
      The residents of the City of Buffalo are grateful to the students from the University of Buffalo, and Buffalo State College for sacrificing their time to serve in such a neighborly way. We'd also like to thank OSC , and Towne Automotive Group for their support.

Robin Lynn - A Woman of Courage With Advice About Abuse & Bullying

   Young people in immeasurable numbers are victims of abuse and bullying.
   When Robin Lynn spoke to the 12-18 yr. olds about her personal story, they heard raw truth.
   A lot of people are abused and bullied, some courageously step forward and confront truth.
   People believe that they're the cause of abuse that happens to them. That's a lie and Robin stopped believing in that lie as she embraced God.
   As a young girl she listened to bullies tell lies about her. She desperately wanted to be liked, so when a guy showed interest in her, she was flattered and he became her boyfriend. He ended up abusing her in horrible ways.
   Statistics will show that it takes about seven attempts before an abused person finally breaks free from their abuser. Robin realized her self-worth in God and how much He loves her. She broke free, but that's not the end of the story. She forgave her abuser because she said holding a grudge would be just what the devil wanted. She defeated the devil and now is engaged to a fine young man named Jeremy.
   Here are Robin's final words to the young people:
"God will always have your back. You guys are amazing and just know your self-worth."
Thank you Robin, we're proud of you, but more importantly - Jesus loves you and so do we!

Unscheduled By YWAP ~ But She Was Scheduled By God, Deb Fuszara At Teen Action Night

     You know that sometimes folks can’t keep their commitments.
     When a scheduled speaker has to change their plans, our plans can become disrupted.
     All disruptions given to God will become eruptions of new opportunity.
     Preparedness is wearing the shoes of readiness to share the good news of God’s amazing Love.
In a perfect world (our version) everyone keeps their scheduled commitments. Sometimes they can't and we're left with a hole to fill. On YWAP Teen Action Night at The Bread, our scheduled speaker was unable to be present. Deb Fuszara was wearing her shoes of readiness and stepped forward onto holy ground prepared by God for such a time as this. Deb didn't use the full nine minutes, powerful life stories seldom do.
She speaks about being bullied,
being cool with high school students who do drugs,
and having dead friends because of doing drugs.
She speaks of an abusive father,
seeking attention from men,
being used by men;
And then she speaks of finding Jesus.

THESE LADIES ARE AWESOME! YWAP Teen Action Night at The Bread

   Young people are gathering in greater numbers on Thursdays at YWAP Teen Action Night.
   Women - lots of young ladies filled a room with open hearts to God and smiles that were as wide as that room!
   A lot of young people are searching for God and asking questions. It's time to give them God's answer in Love.
   Parents - get your children involved in Teen Action Night. Young people learn Biblical leadership - serving in Love.
   This week was what we call "Space Thursday." It's a time to separate the ladies and the guys for some deeper discussions about God's unique and individual plans for their lives. This week we're focusing on the ladies. The guys are doing great things also.
   Here's a comment from Evelyn Guash who was the leader of last Thursday's "Space Night For Ladies,"
"My brother we had 21 ladies in the room!!!!!. I talked about hygiene and honoring the Lord with a healthy and clean body. Then moved on to being clean inside and out. The sin nature that makes us unclean. They interacted with each other, we went deep into the topic and played a game where they won hygiene products. We prayed at the end and many said the sinners prayer. God is good."
