Young people helped Police load their cruisers with Thanksgiving Dinners at Holling Homes in Buffalo today.
​          When the day was done, over 300 turkey plates full of food and love were served to folks in the community.
​          As you can imagine, the smiles were immeasurable as folks gobbled up the great food.

     Young people can avoid violence with hotdogs and prayer.
     We don't teach them to protest, we teach them the power of prayer.
     A lot of folks stopped by and nobody argued.

   Young men are hanging out on street corners and changing lives.
​     When a young man prays, the atmosphere of a city is impacted.

     Young men in Buffalo, New York put their hearts on display for the world on a city street corner.
They became vulnerable, - they prayed.
​     When they smiled and waved at folks passing by, many stopped. What the people received from these young men was truly life-changing.
​     Almost everyone who passed by that Buffalo street corner recognized the presence of God. They were given prayer, a hotdog and a Jesus bracelet.
​     Prayer changes lives and impacts the atmosphere of a city. The windows of heaven opened over a Buffalo street corner. We're proud of these young men for putting their Christ-like character on display.

     Young people can change a city. History reveals that revival begins with young people.
​     When people humble themselves and pray, heaven is opened and a city will be moved to love.
     Accomplishing great things as leaders begins with doing small things as servants.
​     Praying on the streets of a city known for violence, drugs and poverty is a small thing, but so is a mustard seed. 
​You can be involved in a small way that helps to create an eternal impact.

1. You can be with us on the street and "watch our backs" as you pray for YWAP to put God first.
2. You can pray for YWAP on 8-2-17 from 5-7 PM from wherever you are.
3. You van help cook.
4. You can be a provider who donates to help with the cost of hotdogs, drinks and everything that goes along with an outdoor grilling. As the young men pray, YWAP volunteers will cook, serve and continue to form prayerful relationships.

Today - September 2, 2015, is a very special day at Youth With A Purpose. Some young men will take to the streets of Buffalo and pray for folks - and offer them a hotdog too!

We have formed a collaboration to mentor young men, ages 18+ from the city of Buffalo,
 to help change the focus from crime and violence to hope and a promising future.

“A Grill and A Prayer”  After participating in our “Friends For Life” program, we invite transformed young men, some of whom who were formerly affiliated with a gang, to a busy city street corner where they will provide a free hot dog, drink, and prayer for the purpose of transferring hope to the community residents. Here is a comment from one of our young men: 
“If God can change me, God is able to change anybody!” 

A Grill & A Prayer is a great start to a new life.
