The YWAP Board held their monthly meeting tonight at the Holy Cross Youth Center. Everything we discussed will enable Youth With A Purpose to reach more young people and help them become accountable and self sufficient.
Thanks to a donation from a compassionate supporter, we are planning a Ladies Leadership Camp for one of the Buffalo Schools we Mentor at. We are planning other camps and we will let you know the availability of camping scholarships as soon as we can.
We are focusing on making sure that every child in the Buffalo Schools has a Mentor in their lives. We are building a Mentoring Program that will go where the children are. Athletic programs may be an entry point but our goal is to provide an avenue for teaching life skills that will help young people land a job someday. Imagine an electrician or a carpenter who teaches basketball players a skill before they run off some energy.
