BEGIN 2018 WITH 21 DAYS of FASTING & PRAYER WITH YWAP

   YWAP is beginning 2018 by asking God where He wants us to go.
​     Will you be a YWAP Gap-Stander and pray earnestly for 21 days?
​     As we move into a greater territory to reach more young people, we need your help.
​     Please pray for YWAP during the first three weeks of 2018.
​          The YWAP Directors are inviting everyone to join them in a 21 Day Fast beginning January 2, 2018.
               We'll begin a New Year by fasting and praying as we seek God's plan for the future of YWAP.
     Today is January 1, 2018 and it's a Day of Fast Preparation. We've already begun to stock up on fruits and vegetables. Every year for us begins with a Daniel Fast. That means 21 days of fruits, vegetables, nuts and lots of water. Avoiding foods with artificial additives and chemicals. Three days will be reserved for complete fasting with water only. How you fast is between you and God.
​     Focusing on food isn't the purpose of a Fast. As YWAP's Director, here are my reasons for fasting and praying:

1. ​Intimacy - I want to get closer to God. I desire intimacy with Him in the greatest way possible.
2. Transparency - I want a clean heart. I ask Him to bring to my mind any thoughts, words or actions that don't reflect His purity.
3. Responsibility - I admit any shortcomings of myself and anyone connected with the YWAP Ministry. We are family and we share each others weaknesses and strengths. The removal of sin is a corporate responsibility for the whole ministry to bear.
4. Revelation - I ask for God's direction. His wisdom and guidance are the keys to the success of any ministry. I ask for a "Word for the Year" and a "Bible Verse for the Year." We lean on Him to provide understanding for the future of YWAP programs. Each year we experience cutting, pruning and growth - God provides the plan.
5. Honor God - Simply put; If nothing else happens during these 21 days, we will honor Him.

​     Some folks have already indicated that they will Stand In The Gap for YWAP in fasting and prayer. Thank you and we appreciate you.  

Specific Items To Pray For

Pray that the Directors would seek God's direction and guidance in the least of decisions and in the greatest of decisions.

1. Pray for the young people at YWAP that their knowledge of who Christ is would multiply enormously.
2. Pray for the volunteers who give their time to serve the young people. Ask God to keep their hearts surrendered to Him. Ask God to help them be role models who demonstrate the life of Christ.
3. Pray for the finances to cover the cost of doing ministry. We pay rent, buy food, pay for the costs of a van give guys rides, staff stipends, teaching materials and equipment, insurance, prison visits and phone calls.
4. Pray for YWAP Board Members - that they would seek God above all else and govern diligently and by Biblical principles.
5. Pray for Corporate Partners with the compassion to believe in greatness for inner-city young people.
6. Pray for new YWAP Directors to help enlarge God's territory through YWAP.
7. Pray for our 2018 Speaking Tour called; "You Have Power To Go Beyond Hard Times!"
