When the Buffalo Police Cars showed up at The Bread of Life, they were there to pick up teens.
A lot of folks who get rides in cop cars end up in jail.
Police involved in Community Engagement work are different, they take a bite out of crime by serving.
The Buffalo Police Community Engagement Team took young people from YWAP’s Teen Action Night to a Buffalo Sabres hockey game last Saturday. They picked the teens up in their squad cars and drove them from The Bread of Life Church in South Buffalo to The KeyBank Center.
The Sabres won the hockey game. The teens got to drive in the police cars with the officers, were treated to a snack and all arrived home in a police car!!!
Fostering respect in a community through service creates honor and dignity one young person at a time.Thank you to all the members of Buffalo's Police Community Engagement Team.
