Yes, this young lady really is smiling as she carries (and drops) firewood during a recent YWAP Wilderness Trek.
For many young folks, their only exercise is
reaching for a cheezy while playing a video game.
During a YWAP Mountain Trek, you will walk many miles all the way up a mountain. You'll also battle bugs and fatigue as you learn how to climb the mountains of life.
The next Wilderness Adventure is scheduled for Aug. 15-17, 2014. We still need funding for this event if you are looking to help a worthy cause.
Thanks for your time.
Go do something nice for somebody.
Local Author and All-Around Good Guy - Ken Metzger was kind enough to donate one of his books to each of our Adventure Trekkers. We are leaving this morning for the trip of a lifetime for some young folks. They will learn how to climb the mountains of life as they hike up one of the tallest mountains in New York State.
Ken's book is a one-of-a-kind rarity. It's like an adult book in a children's style with an easy to read story that is gripping and life changing. Thanks Ken for caring about some young people and their future. They will learn that "We are each unique, special, loved and perfect for God's plan in our lives."
Jesus loves you and so do we.
The mountains of life are not easy to climb. The view from a climbed mountain is spectacular. It's a life accomplishment that sets the stage of hope and confidence for the next life mountain.
We leave on Friday morning (6-27-14) for our next mentoring adventure in the mountains. If you would like to send young people up and over the mountains of life, please pick up the phone and call eight. 830-8240.
March 20, 2014 is the United Ways Annual Spring It On. Organizations from all over the Buffalo Area will present you with an opportunity to sow a seed that will grow more opportunity. You can find our page at www.springiton.org/ywap
It's good to see you, we're glad you're here! We hope your day is filled with heart smiles.
Will you help us spring something great on some terrific young ladies? We Mentor in the Buffalo Schools and we want to continue that mentoring at a Ladies Leadership Camp. We wll take a group of young ladies from the Buffalo Schools on a weekend camping trip.
They will learn about self respect, compassion, initiative and the value of education. We will also hike in the woods, build campfires, eat smores and we will laugh!
Your support will help Youth With A Purpose, Inc. (YWAP) reach more young people with a positive message that changes young lives. With your help, together we can make Buffalo a safer place full of opportunity for all of us
It will only take a little bit of your time to make a huge difference. Giving online is fast, simple, and secure. Thank you for helping make Spring It On a success for YWAP and our whole community!

This sign was carried by a student on the steps of City Hall. Many people gathered at a rally to support Superintendent of the Buffalo Schools, Dr. Pamela Brown. The young lady carrying the sign was smiling.
There have been improvements made in Buffalo since she has been here. There were improvements in Buffalo when the Interim Superintendent Amber Dixon was here.
Youth With A Purpose supported Amber and now we support Pamela.
Let's put the CHILDREN FIRST!
