They may gather in buildings (or homes) during the week to get some God-infused energy, but many of them leave the building and hit the streets running with fresh compassion to love their neighbors.
The kneeling man in the picture above is Pastor Daniel Williamson from Church For The Nations Flagstaff. He did preach in the church building to a large group of Church folks earlier in the day, but his heart rests on his knees as he prays beyond church walls.
He's nearing the end of 49 Days of Prayer for the Seven Mountains of Influence. Today is day 48 and tomorrow this session of Prayer Beyond Church Walls will end on Election Day at Flagstaff City Hall. Rest assured - Prayer will continue, but the format and locations will change as directed by the Holy Spirit.
Just in case you're wondering what the Seven Mountains of Influence are, here's the list:
The church building is an entrepreneurial incubator that launches community serving ministries beyond church walls. Every week there's an army of volunteers that make church a special place to make people feel special. Some come to pray, worship and serve from The Sunshine Rescue Mission and Hope Cottage Flagstaff. The City of Flagstaff is a city on a hill at a crossroads. The impact on a Nation can be huge. In the photos below, you'll see some of the family of volunteers. It's hard to take pictures of all of them because some are so busy, you can't find them (or they're security and you're not supposed to know!)
Thanks for our time. Go do something nice for somebody (like getting involved at a church!)
Jesus loves you and so do we..
