Some children are ashamed of their parents.

apply it as a shield to keep you away from their hurting hearts.
A child who lashes out at you in anger is trying to protect themselves from further pain.
They believe that nobody understands them.
The beauty of mentoring within a classroom setting is
that the other children find out they are not alone.
Creating an atmosphere of trust where young people can feel safe with their emotional wounds will bring about healing.
