Last Days Fellowship is a very unique church. They are small in number and big on love. They meet in an old bar, sing a ton of very cool old songs and pray a lot. They also have a testimony time for folks to share what's going on in their lives. Sometimes people get carried away and share a little too long.
Pastor Jimmy keeps things moving so everyone will have a chance to share. When he thinks that it is time to move things along, he removes his hearing aid and holds it up in the air until the person speaking gets the hint. Once they see Pastor holding his hearing aid up in the air, they smile and sit down so the next person can share.
My wife was a prayer leader at Without Walls Christian Center before she came to Buffalo. She had an idea to turn the testimonies into prayers. When I stood to speak this morning, I explained the prayer concept and then I prayed. I gave them a prayerful report about what God is doing through Youth With A Purpose Inc.. I thanked God and asked for his help in our future planning and struggles we are growing through. I thank God for my wife that she listened to Him and we have expanded our method of prayer.
