When she was only about eight yrs. old, Roxette Burgos began making heart imprints on Buffalo's West Side. She served her neighbors, loved and supported by her family and she excelled in school.
A lot of young people have faced hard times early in life. Many inner-city families struggle to overcome a harsh environment. Roxette was able to rise above her surroundings.
Passing through Buffalo School 18 and Hutch Tech near the top of her class, Roxette is beginning the next chapter of her life as she's headed for RIT. Maybe someday she'll run for President, she really is that special!
Those of us who know her well call her Seta. She is loved and supported by her mom Ruth and her sister Roxy as well as her grandmother, aunts and uncles and cousins. I can imagine her brother looking down from heaven and saying; "Cool beans! Great job Seta!"
Thank you Seta for being a rock star for Jesus. What you do with your life is a model of how God would have us show love for the world. Jesus loves you Seta and so do we!
