They come for many reasons, but mostly it's about building relationships. Becky Rogowski and her team of volunteers go the extra mile to make the youngsters feel special and valued. The most important thing you can do in any youth program is simply talk to them and listen to them. Last week they made apple pies and talked about treating others with respect and kindness. We doubled the kids from last week and expecting more as the days get shorter.
There are cool games to play and lots of good food to eat (like apple pie & ice cream,) but the conversations are what draws them in. They ask questions about what our government is doing. They ask personal questions about gender identity. There's an open season for any topic that's on the mind and in the heart of the teens. All answers ae given through a biblical perspective. God has covered everything under the sun in the Bible.
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood around the Bread of Life on Thursday nights. Teen Action Night is open to all youth 12-18 yrs. old and you don't need an age passport to prove your age! Thank you Becky and all the volunteers who go beyond the world's standards and helping teens know how much God loves them.
Thanks for your time. Go do something nice for somebody. Jesus loves you and so do we.
