Once upon a minute.....
Year by year In a land where blizzards were normal and snow was a toy, there lived a Heart Farmer. For many years the Heart Farmer took his children to a special evening of heart sharing. Sprouty and Melony looked forward to going with their Dad to the annual event. Players from the National Snowball League would come and share stories about hearts, blizzards and overcoming. While waiting anxiously for news about when the special event would take place, the Heart Farmer received news about a change of plans.
When news hit that there would not be a big main event of heart sharing this year, the Heart Farmer and his kids were sad. They had waited a long time to hear good news and this certainly did not sound like good news. How could the cancelling of an event that touched so may hearts over the years be good news? Slowly, like a seed stretching into an edible vegetable, the truth of a more excellent way grew in their hearts.
A few moments of reflection caused the Heart Farmer began to think about the new plan in terms of his crops on the Heart Farm. He would never plant half a row of corn - he would finish the row. He would never sow seed on top of the broken soil - he would take the time to plant deep. The Heart Farmer knew the most excellent way to plant seeds so that other hearts would grow. He also knew that sometimes the ground had to have a Sabbath or a time of rest. He rotated his heart crops on a seasonal time-frame. So what would happen this year?
Plenty of changes have happened in Bill's Country over the past year. Management has changed and players being traded are just a few of the impacting changes this year. The Team that previously built the Bills Night Out has experienced many difficulties in putting together an event that would reflect adequately the Heart of God. It's never a good idea to force open a door when it has been closed (even if it's temporary.) Especially in Buffalo during cold weather - you might let a blizzard of trouble pass through the open door that was supposed to remain closed!
THE BILLS NIGHT OUT WILL NOT HAPPEN THIS YEAR.
We all were looking forward to the Bills Night Out.
Today's news won't make you "Wanna Shout."
We know that all things work together for good,
And it will be a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
Seasons of change are meant to help us grow,
Even while our hearts are buried under tons of snow.
A Heart Farmer won't be found planting in a blizzard,
He knows that in a new season - hearts will be delivered.
We'll keep you posted on any related activities regarding current and future plans.
Thanks for your support and understanding.
Go and do something nice for somebody.
