Youth With A Purpose has been around for about 15 years. We've had many YWAP Board Meetings.
Last night will go down in history as the greatest so far.
When a ministry surrenders their purpose to ensure that it's in line with God's plans,
greater things are possible.
A dedicated core of YWAP folks gathered together, ate a meal, talked a little business and prayed.
We spent more time in prayer than we spent time eating or discussing business.
Prayer is the great revelator. God gives His guidance to those who ask for it.

HOW DID WE PRAY? WHAT DID WE PRAY FOR?
Praising God for what He's brought us through the last 15 years was the first order of our prayer session.
With voices only accompanied by our heartbeats, we sang "Jesus Lover of My Soul."
Receiving people into a ministry means that you care about them individually. We prayed for our people and their families and their relationship with God and each other. People come before the YWAP ministry.
Able bodied folks are needed for God to use YWAP. We prayed for past, present and future Board members, staff and volunteers as well as the young people who come through YWAP.
Yielding our finances to Him, we prayed for the provision to cover the path laid out for us. He knows the needs before we ask.
Embracing God and each other with the love that He's so freely given us, we prayed that we'd have grace to love young people with the same love. Especially the young people who push love away.
Danger and darkness can be separated like wheat from weeds if we're willing to kneel on the threshing floor of prayer. We went. God have your way with YWAP. Amen.
