YWAP Birthday Celebrations happen once every month of the year. It's our custom to gather at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Law and honor the folks with birthdays in each month.
When you sit back and enjoy the birthday pictures, you will notice that ages range from single digits to folks in their 80's. The YWAP Birthday Celebration is a generational blessing for all ages.
A special feature of the Celebration is an intimate time of sharing that's called "PTL - Provoke The Love." Every person present, young and old takes a turn speaking some love to the folks who are celebrating birthdays. Sometimes tears are shed.
Provoking love is an action that enlarges love in a community. Almost all of us are inner-city folks who live in a violent city. Provoking love is another way of revoking hate. It's a beautiful thing to hear words from the heart that are 100% encouraging and uplifting.
