You had to be there to believe it! Folks became leaders in a team of volunteers in a huge way.
We weren't sure how kids on a volleyball court would look in a church, but It's a good way to get them in church!
A few minutes and a lot of smiles gave us our answer. The YWAP Prototype called "Volley-HUGE-Ball" was good!
Plenty of volunteers made up the YWAP Team. Doug Rifenburg from Victory Sports supplied our volleyball court and accessories. World Karate Champion Marty "Dr. Speed" Cacavas gave an energizing and hand raising (audience participation) Nine Minute Life Message at halftime. He provoked them to identify their dream and be aware that evil destroys dreams. God loves them like crazy! Tom Burger and Mike Kennedy from Central Church Prison Ministry in Charlotte, NC provided our Bible Study Booklets. Our meals were donated by kind folks. Jesus Wristbands were donated by another kind man and his wife. The Bread of Life Pastors, Staff, Parents and volunteers smiled with their serving hands, feet and hearts!
The Directors of YWAP are overwhelmed by the outpouring of a huge team effort. We may not play YWAP "Volley-HUGE-Ball" every week, but it's sure to be fun and good exercise. Hey parents, do you know kids get a free meal after their physical exercise and a Life Lesson as well? Every Thursday until Dec 20 except for holidays. Call 716-830-8240 for information.
